 \nAbout Elayne:\nAuthor Elayne Klasson has never done anything just half
 way: from a career of scholastic achievements\, contributions to society
  and bold moves\, to her rise as a writer to successful newspaper column
 ist. Her debut novel\, Love is a Rebellious Bird\, is no exception—her
  first to be published with She Writes Press.\nElayne grew up on Chicago
 ’s northside. She attended university and graduate school in the Midwe
 st—Ohio State University and the University of Michigan\, earning a Ma
 sters of Public Health and then a PhD in Psychology. Living in Barbados\
 , West Indies for many years\, she worked first as a health care consult
 ant with Project Hope in the Caribbean\; then\, several decades later\, 
 returned as a writer and columnist for the Barbados Daily Nation. Her pr
 ofessional career has been in academia at San Jose State University\, wi
 th her research and clinical area of expertise being the severely mental
 ly ill. A transplant to the Santa Ynez Valley\, near Santa Barbara\, Cal
 ifornia\, she is a popular lifestyle newspaper columnist there. Elayne h
 as also appeared on San Francisco public television as a restaurant crit
 ic. She is the author of the National Jewish Book Award finalist and bes
 t-selling\, Love is a Rebellious Bird. Married to David\, between them t

 JCafé is a social program for the 65+ Jewish community\, offering a del
 icious deli lunch followed by an engaging class\, film\, or lively discu
 ssion! For just $10\, enjoy a deli buffet\, drinks\, and dessert. JCafé
  takes place every Tuesday from 11:30am-1:30pm. Please note lunch is ser
