Join us on Tuesday, September 15 for a talk and discussion with Rabbi Zachary Zysman “Between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur: Shalem — Wholeness and Community”. We’ll begin with the broken tablets of Moses shattered at Sinai. From there we’ll explore what shalem (wholeness) really means, and we’ll look at why the Ark could never be carried by one person alone — why our tradition insists, again and again that repair is never a solo act.
JCafé is a social program for the 65+ Jewish community, offering a delicious deli lunch followed by an engaging class, film, or lively discussion! For just $10, enjoy a deli buffet, drinks, and dessert. JCafé takes place every Tuesday from 11:30am-1:30pm. Please note, lunch is served from 11:30-12:30 pm.
If you have any questions, contact Ashley Belinfante at abelinfante@sbjf.org. If you are interested in leading a class or lecture, we’d love to hear from you! We are currently welcoming ideas and volunteers.
