Start the Jewish New Year off right with a special SBJF Young Professionals gathering featuring good deeds, meaningful connections, and of course noshes with liquid simcha.

The Break Down:
5:30-6:30 pm Mitzvah Beach Cleanup at Carpinteria State Beach
6:30-7:00 pm Havdallah* with all the Feels
7:00 pm Pub Time Nosh and Schmooze at Islands Brewing Company

Feel free to choose your own adventure. Come early and peace out for an early bedtime. Arrive on Jewish time and close the bar. You get the idea. Bring a friend. Get ready to make more.

We will be providing supplies for beach cleanup, a light nosh on the beach, and a nifty drink token for you to use at the bar.

Have a question? Email Samantha at sams@sbjf.org or Jared at jstenzs@sbjf.org

We hope to see you there!

*Havdallah literally means "to differentiate." This brief and beautiful service focuses on the transition from sacred time (shabbat), to the week ahead. Havdallah is filled with sensual ritual, meaning all of the senses are invoked and enticed. If you went to Jewish summer camp, you probably have fond memories of this unique experience.
