Jason Langer will discuss his photographic exhibit and book “Berlin: A Jewish Ode to the Metropolis” that explores in 135 photographs the city’s dark past and brightness today—a city of ghosts in continual renewal.
Langer photographed the city with an eye towards places where Jews were hidden or deported. Against the historical background of Berlin, Langer’s photographs reveal the return of Jewish life in Berlin.
Langer was born in Tucson, Arizona, spent several years growing up on Kibbutz Mishmar Ha-Emek, and exhibits his photographic work internationally and is represented by galleries in New York, Paris and Sun Valley.
