Every April first, the National Mah Jongg League issues a new card for the year and play begins that day with the new card. The goal of the New Card Class is to provide the students with tools to make the new card easy to use and understand. We will provide tips, tricks, and practice to get students up to speed quickly and winning! The class is recommended for those who have played for 6 months or more.

 

$45 per person, limited to 12 participants.

New cards are available for $15.

With a collective 10 years+ experience of Mah Jongg teaching, the Santa Barbara Mah Jongg “Pung” of teachers of Helen McCann, Cynthia McClelland, and Sandra Walther have a tried, true, and fun way to get you from zero to playing American Mah Jongg. Passionate about the game of Mah Jongg and intent on building a strong community for Mah Jongg players to join together in the Santa Barbara area, Helen, Cynthia, and Sandra believe in the importance of teaching not only the skills needed for Mah Jongg, but the etiquette and history of the game.
