Understanding the Aging Brain and How We Can Positively Impact Memory

Summary: Age–related memory decline happens to all of us. It is very reassuring to know that our brain has the capacity to grow new brain cells throughout our lifetime if we make necessary life-style changes. If we incorporate 3 of the 4 recommended healthy habits for the brain, we will be 75% more likely to have better memory. We will learn what those habits are and how to realistically integrate them in our lives as well as learning about the strengths and challenges of older brains. In addition your will get a glimpse into some of the techniques used to address those frustrating “senior moments”-techniques endorsed by Dr. Gary Small, Director of the UCLA Longevity Center and taught as a part of UCLA’s Brain Boot Camp, which is now taught and available here in Santa Barbara by Jo-Anne Blatter, LCSW

JWN Coffee Hour is only $12 per person thanks to the generosity of Bryant & Sons, Ltd. Jewelers.
