Presentor's Bio: Joanne Deck was born and raised in Upstate New York and moved to Santa Barbara from Phoenix, AZ in 2016. She has a background in HR management and recruited, trained, and cared for hospice volunteers at VNA Health for several years. She lives in Goleta with her husband and their Yorkiepoo, Coby. Joanne enjoys beach walks, art shows, and volunteering for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. When asked what drew her to Community Partners in Caring, she stated, “At the start of 2025, I set the intention to find a meaningful job where I could make a difference. When I heard about this role at this organization, I knew I’d found my place.
JCafé is a social program for the 65+ Jewish community, offering a delicious deli lunch followed by an engaging class, film, or lively discussion! For just $10, enjoy a deli buffet, drinks, and dessert. JCafé takes place every Tuesday from 11:30am-1:30pm.
