Life in a DP Camp - Italian Style presented by Peter Tannenbaum.

"I was born in 1946 in DP 17, an UNRRA displaced persons camp located in Grugliasco, a small town near Turin, Italy. Between 1946 and 1949 approximately 220 Jewish children were born in DP 17. Seventy years later about a dozen of us "Grugliasco kids" held a reunion on the grounds of the old DP camp. In my talk I will briefly share what life in an Italian DP camp was like and how that remarkable reunion came to be."

JCafé is a social program for the 65+ Jewish community, offering a delicious deli lunch followed by an engaging class, film, or lively discussion! For just $10, enjoy a deli buffet, drinks, and dessert. JCafé takes place every Tuesday from 11:30am-1:30pm.

If you have any questions, contact Ashley Belinfante at abelinfante@sbjf.org. If you are interested in leading a class or lecture, we'd love to hear from you! We are currently welcoming ideas and volunteers.
