We often speak of the South Coast as if it were one unit. While we are similar on many issues, there are differences in the ways the South Coast water districts supply water to their customers. In May, all the districts will release a water quality report. That is why the League has chosen this topic for the May Community Forum. A representative has been invited from each of the four main districts—the cities of Goleta, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, and Montecito. Each speaker will have 20 minutes to discuss the forum topic, and then there will be time for audience questions about water quality and supply. Everyone attending is invited to bring cuttings of succulents or other drought-resistant plants to exchange with someone else. They should bring a container to take home the new plant for their gardens. This exchange represents the League’s effort to help save water during the drought. All League forums are free and open to the public. Bring your own brown bag lunch, and cookies and beverages will be provided. Parking at the center is free during the meeting.
