Arthur Schwartz, UCSB professor emeritus of Linguistics and an ardent lover of Yiddish, teaches a weekly Yiddish class at the Jewish Federation. He says Yiddish embodies terms that describe family structure not found outside the Jewish community, as well as much folklore regarding the raising of children and the maintenance of individual health. Please join us for this illuminating and evocative presentation. Monthly 3rd Tuesday morning meetings of our group at the S.B. County Genealogical Society's amazing Sahyun Library feature a topic, speaker, Q&A time, and individual research assistance provided by expert librarians on duty. Parking available in the library's lot. Join us!
