“Bel Canto by Candlelight,” a performance by Opera Santa Barbara, comes to the Santa Ynez Valley on May 17, at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley for a special evening of beautiful music, wine and cuisine. All tickets include a wine and hors d’oeuvre reception beginning at 6:30pm, in the Italian-themed courtyard, followed by the performance in candle-lit sanctuary of St. Mark’s. The program will feature several artists from Opera Santa Barbara, which is celebrating its 20th year. They will perform popular musical numbers from opera, stage and movies. A silent auction will take place during the reception.Tickets are $75 for general admission; two for $140. Seating is limited.
