Cooking-Joe DelshadChances are, you're familiar with most common cooking spices and herbs. But do you know how to use them effectively for best results? Which ones go together? To be a great cook, you must learn to use these to your advantage and this class will show you how.  You'll also learn the difference between herbs and spices, and fresh and dried herbs. Dishes will include kosher saffron chicken, seasoned veggie burgers, and different types of marinades.

We’ll start off with a brief description of the dish and ingredients, and Chef Joseph will give a comprehensive step-by-step demonstration. Students then work hands-on with their own dish while he assists each person.

Joseph Delshad, a self trained chef, was exposed at a young age to a style of cooking that fused unique Persian culture and traditional Italian influences which created flavorful masterpieces. Joseph serves high quality regional American cuisine, as well as Middle Eastern, and Italian food based on fresh ingredients from the farmers market and local farmers. His culinary journey has led him to Montecito where he now works as private chef for local families in the area.
Outside of creating culinary works of art, Joseph enjoys traveling and sampling cuisines abroad, spending time outdoors, and is an avid road biker.
