The Next Beginning: Crafting the next chapters in your life: Skills and tools one needs to move forward.

A professional workshop sponsored by Jewish Family Service of Greater Santa Barbara

Deborah S. Levinson is a  Johns Hopkins-trained psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker in practice in Manhattan and in Maryland. Mrs. Levinson is the author of several works, including Surviving the Death of Your Spouse and The Next Beginning.

In contrast to traditional mourning theories, Ms. Levinson presents a model for the adjustment after major loss: death, divorce or end of a long-term relationship which addresses the issue of loss of an attachment object as a post-traumatic stress disorder.

This three-hour workshop is both didactic and experiential and will give clinicians tools and skills to use with their clients

Date:  Monday, September 29
Time:  9:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m.
Where: Jewish Family Service of Greater Santa Barbara 524 Chapala Street
Cost: $50; 3 CEUs for LCSWs and MFTs

Space is very limited; please RSVP here or call (805)957-1116.

*Jewish Family Service of Greater Santa Barbara is a Provider of LCSW and MFT CEUs for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, provider # 5163
